Position: Family Outreach Coordinator, Commission for Jewish Education (CJE)
Reports to: Asst. Director of Outreach & Engagement
The mission of the CJE is to enrich and strengthen Jewish life and education throughout the greater Palm Beaches. Its objective is to offer compelling and creative pathways for Jewish life and engagement that strengthen meaningful and lasting connections to the Jewish community.

The Family Outreach Coordinator will work hand-in-hand with other Outreach & Engagement professionals as well as representatives of collaborating community organizations and agencies and be responsible for engaging and maintaining relationships with families with young children for the purpose of encouraging commitment to the Jewish community as part of the Commission for Jewish Education (CJE), a department of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Engage target constituents through multiple outreach platforms facilitating and staffing local outreach efforts including: community events & festivals. Track attendance for outreach events/programs.
Assist with establishment of PJ Corners in the community; maintain corners throughout the year, plan collaborative programs in corners.
Implement, attend and support collaborative family engagement events as well as events in the wider community as required (this may include evenings & weekends)
Launch and track Shalom Palm Beach outreach program for both families new to the area as well as existing local families with new babies.
Foster relationships with program participants, volunteers, community partners and donors
Serve as the welcoming face of the CJE department and the Jewish Federation
Other functions as directed by the Assistant Director or Director of Family Outreach & Educational Engagement
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects, with attention to detail and follow-up.
Active understanding of the Jewish world, religion, tradition, and values
Creative approach to programming
Positive, proactive attitude, takes initiative with the strong ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team-oriented atmosphere
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience working with lay volunteers
Advanced skills in MS Office suite: specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher - required
Comfortability working in databases
