CJE coordinates three Jewish education professional development conferences annually: two conferences targeted to synagogue educators held in August and some time mid year between January and March, and one conference targeted specifically to early childhood Jewish educators held in February. These conferences average six hours each and are planned by the Jewish Educators’ Council and Early Childhood Jewish Educators’ Council respectively to enhance the knowledge and skills of our area’s Jewish educators based on their needs.
Participation in these conferences is usually required as part of a Jewish educator’s employment in the community. The councils are comprised of the area’s education directors and school principals.
