National Board of License of the Palm Beaches

In 1993, the National Board of License (NBL) for Teachers and Principals of Jewish Schools in North America authorized the formation of a Local Board of License for the greater Palm Beaches.  The Board of License of the Palm Beaches received its charter in the fall of 1995 and began encouraging teachers and principals to apply for licensure.  Initial standards and criteria for the certification of Jewish educators established more than 50 years ago by the National Board have been updated regularly.  Our local affiliate abides by these national standards. 

The Board of License places a high value on continuing education for all professionals, both veterans with many years of experience and those who are entering the field either with or without formal training.  By recognizing that individuals are drawn to the field through a variety of venues, the NBL has created a system of certification built on the existing opportunities available to individuals in communities throughout the continent. The license, issued by the CJE Board of License of the Palm Beaches, will be recognized throughout North America.
