Each year, the CJE selects 20 students in 10th-12th grade to participate in the The Marilyn and Michael Winer Panim el Panim High School in Washington, D.C.

Panim el Panim exposes the teens to a variety of public policy issues from differing political perspectives.  Among the issues that are explored are: Human Rights, Poverty in America, Peace and War, Civil Liberties, and Jewish Values in Conflict.  On each issue, students meet with individuals who are part of the policy debate on each subject.  These speakers work for public interest organizations, Congress, and the U.S. Administration.  The seminars are designed to help students lean more about the complexities of public policy issues, how the American democratic system functions, and how they can become more active and informed citizens.
