The J.N. Somers Yad Hebrew School for Children with Special Needs

The Friedman Commission for Jewish Education has just opened the 2017-2018 school year registration for its popular J.N. Somers YAD Hebrew School for Children with Special Needs. YAD is the only formal Sunday religious and Hebrew school in the Greater Palm Beaches for children aged 5 and older, whose special educational needs cannot be delivered in traditional synagogue religious and Hebrew schools. The program’s philosophy is that all children, regardless of learning ability, deserve open gateways for participation in Jewish learning experiences and important Jewish rites of passage – such as Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Classes meet from 9:30am-noon on Sundays. To see and hear what Yad is, click hereFor more information, contact Wilma Turk
